Directive 63 has an upcoming opening within the Digital Information & Computer Evidence Laboratory for qualified Audio/Video Analysts. You will be responsible for collecting and preserving evidence for analysis, and presenting findings in written and oral form. This is a position on the D.63 Incident Response Unit which provides rapid response throughout the United States.  Heavy travel will be required.

A qualified applicant will provide guidance and support for Directive 63 by utilizing expertise in Law, Government Affairs, Information Technology, or Corporate Fraud. You will use your knowledge to assist and respond to incidents and to collect video evidence in analog or digital form.

As a Video Forensic Investigator you will may be required to work individually or in a team as you…

- Collect and preserve evidence maintaining chain of custody.
- Perform forensic analysis of video and image evidence in both analog and digital formats.
- Follow documented procedures established to ensure the integrity of evidence and examinations.
- Prepare reports of examination results in preparation for admission at criminal and civil judicial proceedings
- Provide expert testimony at criminal and civil judicial proceedings
- Educate investigators and business partners on the value and limitations of video and image evidence

Requirements:

- 4-year degree or five to eight years advanced incident response and/or investigative experience
- Expertise with Unix and Microsoft Operating Systems
- Mastery of tools used for incident response, computer forensics, network security assessments, and/or application security
- Strong knowledge of best practices in investigations, evidence handling, chain of custody, data mining, and evidence preservation
- Mastery of forensic examinations procedures
- Mastery of Audio/Video examination tools such as AVID, Final Cut.
- Requirement to pass criminal background check.
- Ability to travel freely nationally and internationally.
