On October 12, 2011 D.63 founders Thomas Baer and Chad Baer will be presenting for the Information System Security Association Central Virginia Chapter October Luncheon.  The D.63 Team will be tackling "The Missing Piece" of IT Security by discussing social engineering, intelligence, re-emerging threats, and new shifts in technology.  The meeting is open to members of ISSA and registered non-members.  Please contact ISSA for registration.

Overview:
As IT Security professionals we embrace the challenge of identifying and defeating the newest threats which can adversely affect our systems. It is our challenge to track the shifts in technology and development so we can identify the “next big thing”, and proactively defend against it. We allocate valuable energy and focus on New threats trying to anticipate the next Event. But most criminals… they use whatever works!

In this discussion Directive 63 will discuss the current landscape of IT Security from an Intelligence perspective, shifting changes in technology use, RE-emerging threats, and identify the most vulnerable access point on every system.
